Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters

Love of Instruction

I know many of us during different periods and seasons use different psalms as prayers.  We especially like Psalm 91 and 83.  What about Psalm 119?  As I too was basking in Psalm 149 and 150 that still small voice impressed upon me Psalm 119!  Over and over each writer declares how time spent meditating on God's laws/Torah brings blessings verses 1-8, versus 9-16 brings cleansing and delight. V.  17-24 opens our eyes to new and wonderful things and reminds us that we are but strangers on this earth.  Which we also remember during the feast of Tabernacles.  Verse 25-32 revives us and enlarges our heart as we meditate on His works!  Verse 33-40 also revives us as we turn our eyes away from worthless things and devoting ourselves to fearing Him.  Verse 41-48 declares as we meditate we shall have mercy from the Lord and we can trust His Word to be in our mouths so that we may be bold enough to speak before princes and kings!

This is only a small portion of the first part of this Psalm!  Each of these writers declare how much value there is in the law/Torah of God.  So why are we so quick to throw it out claiming we are under grace.  We received grace through the blood of Yeshua so that we may enter into the fullness of walking righteously before the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob/Israel.  Becoming part of His body His Bride who He is returning for one day soon.  We wait with great anticipation and expectation for our Savior's return but are we truly ready yet.

I shake with a holy fear every time I think about it.  I want to be found ready and worthy!  I want my eyes to be set on eternity and not on the things of this fleeting earth I am already half way through my lifespan.  Every day I wake up I realized I am one day closer to standing in the very presence of Adonai I know I will fall flat on my face I don't need to imagine what that day will be like.  I know for a certainty I will fall flat on my face and pray that He extends His Hand and touches me under the chin and stands me to my feet and says welcome home!  I would rather be found legalistic in this world than Lawless before Him!
