Myles'  Fleece

On Friday night things were looking so bad, they informed Myles and my mom to contact the family as they didn't expect me to make it through the weekend.  I really don't know how Myles did it, on Thursday they had put John in infant ICU on a respirator for the day as he had fluid in his lungs and had developed pneumonia as well.  Here he was going from one ICU to another. They never told me until later.  By Friday John was holding his own and was fully recovering and back in the regular nursery.  It was Friday night they delivered him the news about me.

Most of my family arrived Saturday afternoon and they came in one at a time either with my mom or with Myles.  Of coarse I didn't know why they were all coming in I just thought it was nice to see them.  They had driven all night about a 10 Hour Drive to get there to see me.  I made it through the weekend to the doctors surprise.  But not to the surprise of all those who were praying for me.

Finally one day when Myles was coming back to the hospital after going home having a quick shower comforting Charlie and reassuring him that everything was going to be okay, and  explaining to Charlie that mommy was very sick so he needed to be at the hospital with me.  On the way back to the hospital he was driving down the main street heading towards the entrance to the hospital when he noticed in front of him a coroner's hearse.  He told the Lord he just needed to know if I was going to live or if the Lord was going to take me home.  He said if this car drives past the hospital I will know she's going to live.  If the car turns in I will know that you are taking her home.  He watched the car carefully as it turned into the turning lane and then all of a sudden turn and drove right past the hospital.  He said he drove in parked the car and leaned over the steering wheel and wept and thanked the Lord for His answer.  He never told anybody about that for quite a long time.  He had a new confidence when he was with me maybe it was a strength I sensed in him.

He didn't ask the Lord again, he just trusted that God was going to fulfill His Word and of course He did.  Because here I am writing this letter to all of you out there!  Abba is not afraid of our questions in fact I think He delights in them.  It shows we have a strong enough relationship that we can boldly ask Him anything and He will answer us.  Then He really delights when we take those answers and completely trust Him!

Sometimes we need a very definite sign from the Lord, in many ways he was simply following in Gibeon's footsteps!  At the end of the night before he would leave me he always read a Psalm and prayed together.  It was a witness to the staff and to the other families that were going through tragedies at the same time.  It opened many doors for true hands on sharing of the good news and so many people responded to love that Myles and my mom freely shared with them during that time.  Watch for opportunities they are out there they'll find you just be open to the Holy Spirit's leading!

B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach, Amen
