Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters Answered Prayers I remember the terrible hurricane Katrina that wiped out most of New Orleans. I remember there were ministries that came out without a scratch and how they preach that we are to take authority over storms etc. the way Yeshua did. My prayer life and faith may be a little more simple. Recently, I walked over to the grocery store about a half hour walk with my homecare attendant, to get some groceries for the weekend. As usual, as we were going to the till we phoned Myles to come pick up the groceries because I can't carry them home myself. All of a sudden a huge storm came up we came out as the grocery store and the sky was black and the wind was raging. Myles pulled up and grabbed the groceries and asked if I wanted him to go back and get the van, I calmly said no it will be okay. He asked again, are you sure? My homecare attendant was in a panic. I said the storm will go away, I prayed. I said a prayer and asked the Father to please not let it rain and to subside the storm until we got home. Of course Jody was worried sick as we discussed it later. She said it's already starting to rain, I said very confidently no it's going to stop. I said let's just go as we stepped out from underneath the canopy I could see the rain drops that had started on the pavement in front of me. I continued in prayer I said Abba reveal yourself to this young girl. Of course the rain stopped and I smiled as the clouds changed from dark to white the wind disappeared and all of a sudden the sun broke through. We had a lovely walk home! A few days later when she came in she was telling me how she is not a very religious person. I said while neither am I, to which she replied are you kidding me! You are the most religious person I know. So then we discussed what religion was. She was raised Catholic. I told her so was I but that now I have this personal relationship with God. She said she was thinking about converting to Judaism. I said no they don't believe in Yeshua as Messiah yet. She said what? I don't understand I think she thought I was Jewish or of Judaism religion. She said you have this thing all you talk about is God. He is your Father like he is really there with you listening to you all the time. Then she said "I have to tell you that storm thing kind of freaked me out a little"! I said why, the Lord loves to hear and answer our prayers! So then she wanted to know more, she said because I'm looking at you thinking you're sitting in a metal wheel chair and you want to walk home in the storm. I thought you were out of your mind then you say this prayer and the storm goes away! How do you do that? I said it's all about faith! She was quite blown away by the whole incident. I didn't realize how much I talked about God, it's just that I love him so much and that's what she was telling me. I know she is a work in progress, but aren't we all. I share this with you because when we truly put our faith into action God will show Himself approved to those who are looking for Him!
