Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters The Mount of Olives I've purposely saved this one for last as it is the most difficult to write. Of all the areas on the Mount of Olives for Yeshua to choose to take His disciples to at different times during his 3 1/2 years of Ministry, the area he chose was close to a pressing mill. The Mount of olives at the time was sort of a type of campground. The poor and homeless would find areas on the side of the mount in different areas and settle there. Often they were the ones who would collect the olives and take them to the owners of the pressing mills that made the oil. Yeshua chose a little grove close to a mill. Until I went on my little virtual tour and since this was the first year that we were able to really understand much more of what Chanukah was all about has my understanding been deepened so profoundly! I have been so blessed by the Master that the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob/Israel and Messiah Yeshua would reach down from heaven and touch a heart like mine. That the creator of the universe would accept me as His very own child and wash me clean forgiving me of all my past sins and sitting at the right hand of the Father still interceding on my behalf! As I watched how they put the olives in the pressing mill crushing them until the oil began to spill out, tears began to flow down my face. As I thought of Yeshua in the Garden Grove on the night of His betrayal knowing what was ahead praying to the point that he sweat blood as His Soul was being crushed. His disciples close by but falling asleep. Would I too have fallen asleep? Probably as I have many times when I wake up early in the morning and I start to pray then quickly drift back to sleep in my comfortable bed. Although Yeshua had explained many times to His disciples what was about to happen it didn't really click until the moment was at hand. Even then they ran, they came to the full realization after the resurrection. Yeshua knew all this would happen as He predicted it would. I think He chose that little area of the grove as a reminder for us also to continue to press on. Also to remind us that when pressure comes it is good it will refine us. Though it be a painful process at times it is purifying us for His glory so that He might use us. It reminded Him to press on to the finish so that through His sacrifice many can come if they choose. The Holy Spirit will draw them as we do our part being willing and open vessels. Developing first a relationship with Him having intimacy getting to know His heart and walking in His ways. Then will we be ready after a little pressure after being crushed so to speak to get the stones out of our hearts so that the pure oil of heaven can be deposited in the lives of others. So when persecution and the pressures of this life come count at all joy! You are being prepared for a good works in Messiah Yeshua! The harvest is ripe and He is coming back soon! For a spotless bride, it is their oil in your lamp? I want mine to be filled so I'm ready for my Messiah's return!
B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach, Amen In His Love, Theresa
