Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters The Foreigner Since there has been an awakening within the church to return to our ancient paths the way of Torah, the way of the Lord, the way of the early church after the resurrection of Yeshua and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, there has also been many people desperately trying to find their Jewish roots. When I say their Jewish roots I mean there descendents. That is not what is important, God made a covenant with the house of Israel after He made a covenant with Abraham. The fact of the matter is the Jewish people/race have kept the original covenant with God so that we would not lose His Word! There has always been room for the foreigner. Somewhere in the church teachings it was assumed that only because of Yeshua did the foreigner now have grace to follow God. Yet right here in 1 Kings 8:41 it says that loud and clear as Solomon prayed at the dedication of the Temple, that any foreigner who turns and looks to Your Temple and prays to You, then hear from heaven and receive them and forgive them. Solomon prayed this because he said the foreigner would come because they would hear of Your (God's) Great Name and Strong Arm. So you see for all of those people out there who are desperately searching for their Jewish descendents there may be Jewish people that can trace back their lineage as far as they know but only God knows the true lineage of each person. Do not be proud if you are a true seed of Abraham likewise do not be discouraged and do not waste your time chasing after vain heritages. Even in the lineage of Yeshua there were two foreigners Rahab and Ruth. These are all distractions taking our focus of of the real place it should be our relationship with the one true God! I was struck by Solomon's prayer and blessed for at the dedication of the very first physical Temple there was provision made for us the foreigners! Yeshua came and made provision first for His People but also for all people! Though we have no physical Temple now what we need to remember and realize God did this for a reason. So that each one of us being filled with the Holy Spirit are now the Temple of the most high God. I know I touched on this yesterday but in the days of Solomon all the nations marveled at the greatness of the God of Israel. God is looking for people whom He can work through again to show Himself strong. People who will glorify Him. His return is very soon. He is coming back for a spotless bride. Oh that we would fall in love with Him again. That we would be as lovesick over Him as He is over us. I speak for myself here as well. That we would make sure our lamps are lit and we have oil. The oil of joy knowing that our bridegroom is coming that we would gather as many friends and neighbors to know our wonderful Savior! That they too would know the wonderfulness of His presence in their daily lives by our example. Also that we you would know that wonderful presence every day constantly if we don't know it we can't share it. Hide away every day. He is desperately waiting for you!
