Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters The Temple When King Solomon began his reign as king over Israel, God gave them rest from all their enemies on all sides. King Solomon had such great wisdom that all the kings and queens of the earth came to see him. They all came with gifts and marveled at his wisdom in the greatness of God. In many ways it gives us a glimpse of what the future millennial reign will be like! Will not the King of Kings our Lord Yeshua be the greatest of all kings! Will not every leader of every nation and all the peoples of the world come and bow down before Him once again declaring the greatness of our God. Once again the Temple will stand and our great King Yeshua will sit there. Unlike Solomon who had another home after he built the temple for the Lord. Oh what a glorious day that will be! As I was reading through these chapters so many things came to my heart. It took Solomon 20 years and he put his whole heart and soul into building the temple for the Lord. Oh that it would have taken him a lifetime, his whole lifetime. For as long as he was busy building the temple of the Lord his heart and mind were set on worshiping and following God's ways down to the letter. As he was building the Temple and working on it watching over every aspect, the Lord increased everything in his kingdom. He was blessed to overflowing. Then I thought of my Temple. The very place where the Holy Spirit dwells! Yes how easily I get distracted at times by the things of this world. Yet God's grace abounds to me as I look and read and study His Holy Word and apply it to my life it is He who is thus establishing and working in this Temple. Oh that it would be a Temple as glorious and beautiful as the one Solomon built. The more time I spend allowing the Holy Spirit to work in this Temple the more like its owner I will be like. The best way of doing that is by sitting at the feet of Yeshua. Spending that one-on-one personal time away from everyone and everything else. Getting to know the one who came and save me and deliver me into the kingdom of light. This may be a temporary Temple but I want it to be the best and most used and beautiful Temple it can be for within its walls dwells the very Holy Spirit of God. Everything that was done in the physical Temple when it stood can be done and should be done on a daily basis even now! Offerings of Thanksgiving and offerings of praise. Sweet incense to the Lord always. When we look at ourselves in this way the words that we speak that come out of our mouth's will be ones of life-giving. Words that will bless our Savior bless our God! I never really seen myself this way before until the Lord open my eyes to the truth. I've read it a hundred times, well maybe not a hundred times but many times. Saints we are the very Temple of God, when we accepted Him He accepted us and placed His Holy Spirit in us what a blessing and privilege. More importantly what our responsibility we have to truly show the world that our God dwells in us!
