Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters Delivered I was reading in Colossians chapter 1 when this word jump off the page at me! So many believers I speak with referr to themselves as saved, born again, redeemed and grafted in to the one true pure olive tree. But Paul makes it very clear in Colossians 1:13, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of His Son of His Love". I don't know about you but being delivered from the power of darkness puts a whole new spin on things for me! Yes I am saved born again, redeemed, but I am also delivered! I don't have to do a single thing to earn this privilege, none of us do and none of us can. Just as God delivered the Hebrew children from slavery in Egypt making them into a nation of people set apart for Him, so to, we have been delivered from the slavery of our past. We too can now claim our inheritance as part of the house of Israel. One body one people under one unified God, washed clean by the blood of our Messiah Yeshua! Set apart for good works to show the world that truly He is risen and lives within us by the power of the Holy Spirit. What other people can say they are God is so great that He dwells within us not just with us as an the days in the wilderness. Yes YHWH is always with us the question is are we always with Him? He dwells within us by the power of the Holy Spirit but how much room do we give to Him? I'm not trying to condemn anyone here by no means! What I'm trying to convey is the more room we give the Holy Spirit in our hearts and lives the more effective we will be for Him! When I read the word delivered, everything inside of me rejoiced with gladness. I felt as Merriam did when she led all the women in a dance before the Lord in the wilderness after they crossed the Red Sea free from the bondage of slavery! If I could walk I would have done the same thing! Beloved we to have been bought and paid for and delivered. When I first came to know the realization that Yeshua died for me while I was yet a sinner trapped by the power of darkness but willingly and lovingly accepted me I knelt at that alter, tears streaming down my face as He not only washed me clean but delivered me from the chains that had me bound. Now I can say I am a saint who ,yes, still sometimes makes mistakes, but it is no longer I that live but Messiah Yeshua who lives in me, Galatians 2:20! What a glorious grace abounds to each of us when we finally get that through our heads. Saints it's all been done for us, let us rejoice and be glad in that! B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach, Amen In His Love, Theresa
