Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters The Heritage of Jacob Oh Saints I encourage you to take some time and sit at the Masters feet and read all of Isaiah 58! One more thing I wish to share, remember I am not pointing the finger I am simply pointing out what my wonderful Heavenly Father has shown me. All I wish to do is share with you the same encouragement. As we sit at the Masters feet spending time with Him, He will faithfully show us His Heart and what the right way is when it comes to worshiping Him in spirit and in truth (Jon 4:24). He Is the Good Shepherd, the Great Shepherd as His sheep we will hear His Voice. The last two verses of Isaiah 58 is a cry from the Father. He says "if you turn your foot away from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasures, nor speaking your own words, 14. Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride on the high mountains of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, the mouth of the Lord has spoken". Many of us know that song "better is one day in your courts then thousands elsewhere". Well here we have the opportunity to put what we sing into action. Little by little over the last year or more Myles and I have been learning more and more how to honor the Lord on this wonderful and precious day! Father didn't come down one day and say okay now you have to do it this way exactly to a letter, light the candles say the prayers, focus only on me, no TV, no commerce, no cooking etc. no what He patiently and lovingly led us. First He showed us that what He wanted was one day out of the week for us to focus in on Him and that day was the seventh day! It is wonderful to celebrate and worship on Sunday and we should worship the Lord every day whether we are with others or ourselves. But the seventh day is the Sabbath and it will always be the Sabbath it is the one day God gave us to rest! For those of you who already know this we understand what a blessing it is! For those of you who do not know in this new year coming up why not give it a try? One of the things that struck me in that particular passage was, "nor speaking your own words". If we are not speaking our own words then we are speaking the words of the Holy Spirit we are speaking the words of the Lord. He promises us that He will cause us to ride on the high mountains of the earth. When the Lord's mouth says something you can be sure it will be fulfilled and come to pass! When we speak His Words we prophesy encouragement to those around us. Even though I don't have a job I have to go to every day of the week and I am blessed in the sense that I can spend much time at the Masters feet. But I also have needs and the household to run so I do that through the week with my homecare attendant. All the while anticipating and waiting for the start of Shabbat on Friday evening! What a comfort it has become for us and then we gather on Saturday with other like-minded believers and learn and study the Torah and Scriptures. It all wraps up and ends so quickly another 24 hours gone by as everyone goes there separate ways for another week. Maybe after supper on Friday night or Saturday take some time and sit and read Isaiah 58 and see what the Master says to you! You might just be surprised!
