Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters Pointing the Finger As I was reading Isaiah 58:9 the first part of that verse has such a promise in it! We always need to do our part in order for the Lord to do His part. Yes, His love is unconditional towards us please understand I am not saying that we have to earn His love. We don't even have to earn most of the blessings that we have been given because of the work of the cross. Father knows our shortcomings and He knows where at but He also allows us enough not to leave us where we're at. Rather He wants to develop us into His Holy people to be a royal priesthood a holy nation set apart for good works in Messiah Yeshua (1 Peter 2:9). As I was sharing yesterday how glorious it will be too have our lights break forth like the morning sun and having the Lord answer our cries and prayers, my heart rejoiced as I paused and thanked God for His mercy that He would show us such wonderful truths! After spending some time in praise and thanksgiving I continued on reading. The second half of verse 9 spoke volumes to me! How many times does our Father have to remind us that when we point our fingers at others we are putting heavy yokes on them! When we point our fingers at others the word of God says we are speaking wickedness! It is certainly not our job to do this, we must always remember it is the Lord who is the judge! He is the only one who knows each and every heart whether good or evil whether weak or strong. He tells us what to focus on in the following verses right through to the end of chapter 58, and what the outcome will be. Our focus is to be on the poor the ones whose soul is afflicted we are to extend ourselves to the hungry. I know it seems like been harping on this and I don't mean to it's just not my words it comes from the Fathers heart. They are His words to me and you. I know during these past two months people of different faiths and some of no faith at all help out charities who extend help to the poor. If we criticize those people who celebrate Christmas because it is a pagan holiday then we are no better than them according to Isaiah 58: 9b! They are doing what the word of God tells them to do whether they realize it or not taking food hampers to poor families etc.! Is this not the job we are supposed be doing all year round. How can we be truly set apart how can we show the love of God unless we do it all year round. Father wants to use us to show the world His Glory the best way to do that is to be obedient to the Word He has given us. When we have spent time in the secret place away from everyone else and everything else concentrating solely on Him developing that intimate relationship we will hear that still small voice! That comforting voice the one that leads us and guides us and tells us what to do to glorify our Father in heaven been obedient and quick to do it what a privilege we have! That the very Creator of the Universe would set us apart and use us! Our souls shall be satisfied. Our bones will be strengthened. A watered garden, a spring of water that never shall run dry. We will build up the old wasted places. We shall raise up the foundations of many generations. We shall be called the repairs of breaches and the restorer of streets to dwell in! This is who I want to be known as! So I will look at myself and keep my eyes on my God! B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach, Amen In His Love, Theresa
