A Tree Well Planted

I don't get out as much in the winter as it is bitter cold here and hard on my lungs.  I had to go out the other day for a doctors appointment.  The wind was hard on my face as the rest of me was mostly covered.  Yet still I could feel the bitter cold and the wind.  The snow was piled high and the wooden ramp slippery.  After returning home I sat in my chair and looked outside grateful to have returned safely to a nice warm home.  I looked out the window and there stood the tree on the corner of our lot.  A few days prior we had had a winter storm blow through with high winds snow and blowing snow.  Yet here stood this tree tall and erect its branches bare for now, yet still stretched out upwards as if it is still standing in a position of praise and worship unto Almighty God.

I was reminded of Psalm 1.  It can withstand the bitter cold, the snow and the winds and storms that come because it is rooted and grounded drinking water from deep beneath the earth.  We too are the same according to Psalm 1, if we delight in the Torah of the Lord.  Meditating day and night we too will be like that tree.  We will bring fruit forth in its season.  Throughout the storms and trials that come our way if we can stand and give thanks and praise in every situation are leaves will not wither.  Furthermore the Word of God promises that everything we do will prosper!

Just as that tree grows in strength and stature every year with standing the summer rains and winds as well as the winter cold.  The Father allows these trials and tribulations to come our way.  So that as we learn to stand and trust in Him we too will grow in strength and stature.  Being able to withstand the wiles of the enemy, Ephesians 6:11.  Over and over the Father gives us promises and warnings about the importance of spending time in His Word and in His Presence.  Ever since the Garden of Eden the very Creator of the Universe, Almighty God, Elohim, wants nothing less than a love relationship with us He is created.  He created many things and everything has a purpose but more importantly He created us in His very image.  His love for us goes far beyond more than we can ever think or imagine!  He is Almighty God and He is Holy!

The reason He gave us His Torah was for our good .  All through history the judges and kings that followed and lived by it God was able to use in mighty ways!  Those who did not lost their way, God would many times send Prophets to warn His people to return.  He is a God of second chances always patient and loving!

So no matter what your circumstances may be at this very time, let us do as Psalm 1 tells us to do!  Yes we have jobs to do and commitments to fulfill but we also need to set time aside to sit and meditate whether it be day or night, morning or evening as often as we can let us drink that pure living water.  God's Word from Genesis to Revelation and see what He has to say to each one of us individually!  So we too can stand and rejoice in our salvation Yeshua Messiah, filled with the Holy Spirit and walking out in love!  The world is crying out for someone to just love them!  We are the ones when we meditate and are led by our Good Shepherd will then draw all men unto Him!
