Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters Strife Amongst Each Other As we read the story of Moses the first few chapters of Exodus especially the focus is totally on him. However, how was it that Pharaoh would find out about Moses killing the Egyptian. Obviously there was much talk in the Israelite camp and it was likely over heard by the other Egyptians. So it was when Moses came out the next day and saw two Hebrews arguing he addressed the issue. While he thought he was trying to help they turned on him and refused his counsel. Moses ran because he realized when Pharaoh found out he would kill Moses. But what was more disturbing was the fact that these two Hebrew brethren were fighting amongst each other. This stuck out to me. I was reminded of just a few chapters earlier where Joseph gave his brothers the same instructions not to argue on their way back to get their father, (my paraphrase). When Aaron and Mariam murmured against Moses even though he didn't know what was going on God heard it and took matters into His Own Hands. John chapter 13: 34 Yeshua says, "a new commandment I give you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, and that you also love one another. 35 by this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another". It is so vitally important that we learn to get along! We need to put aside our differences and recognize each and every one of us are at different stages in our walk with the Lord. We need to help each other along the way not become stumbling blocks for each other rather we need to encourage, uplift and pray for one another. Do as our Master commands us to do just simply Love one another! In this way the world will see that we truly are standing together under one shepherd, the True Shepherd Yeshua HaMashiach! From the beginning of time jealousy and covetous has caused strife amongst each other and cause great harm not only to the body of Messiah, but also to the rest of the world. The people who watch who desperately need the good news that Messiah has come and salvation is at hand and can be theirs. But with all the politics in the world why would they want to get caught up in the politics of the Church! What dangerous ground we tread on when we fight amongst ourselves. We only need look back at all the examples in Scripture to see the fruitless mess that has been left behind. So let us be the ones to sit and truly hear what Yeshua is saying to us! Let us become His disciples bringing glory to His work in our lives and showing the fruit that it will produce in the lives of others as well. I too am learning these things I want to glorify my Heavenly Father. Remembering always love covers a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4:8.
