Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters The Banquet House We all know the song "He Brought Me to His Banqueting Table at His Banner over Me Is Love".  How true this is!  In Song of Solomon once again the Shulamite declares Chapter 2: 4 "He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love. 5 Sustain me with cakes of raisins, Refresh me with apples, For I am lovesick.  I always thought it was Solomon who said that but as I was rereading this chapter it was actually the Shulamite.  What I love to hear the most is she declares that she need to be refreshed for she is so lovesick!  Oh if we would be so lovesick and faint that we would need to be refreshed always by the Lord and for the Lord!  That we couldn't get enough of Him.  It goes on in verse 6 His left hand is under my head, And his right hand embraces me. 7 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the does of the field, Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases.  Just imagine the very Creator of heaven and earth are wonderful Heavenly Father holds us with His left hand under our head and His right hand embracing us!  What does it mean when it says do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases?  I think that when you escape away into the secret place for that special time with the Lord just you and Him that that Scripture is beckoning us not to rush away.  Rather to take our time until the Father has poured into our hearts all that we can take at that time.  If He were to share everything with us at one time we would not be able to handle it.  Each time we take time alone with the Lord it is a time of intimacy where He embraces us as we embrace Him.  The more time we spend with the Lord the more lovesick we become for in His presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11).  Yahweh always refers to us as the bride so this Scripture refers to the daughters of Jerusalem I think the Lord is calling us individually His bride for that quality time!  All I know is that by reading this fascinating book I see the passion that Yahweh has for us and that we should have for our Beloved as well.   B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach, Amen In His Love, Theresa If you need counseling, go to www.cometozion.org/ctzcounseling.html right now.
